Vauxhall Heritage Centre
About The Vauxhall Heritage Centre
The Heritage Centre was established to provide a tangible link with the past, as well as offering a valuable service to Vauxhall Retailers who often display vehicles from the collection in their showrooms. The Heritage Centre is situated in Luton close to Griffin House, the corporate headquarters of the company. Here, in purpose-built surroundings, the company maintains a collection of rare and historic Vauxhall and Bedford vehicles from nearly 100 years of motor manufacturing history. The Vauxhall Heritage Centre is based in Luton at the company's headquarters and houses over 70 vintage and classic motor vehicles and a massive photo and document archive, all an integral element of Vauxhall's history in the UK. The vehicles are maintained by a dedicated heritage team who ensure that they are either ready for road or show use as and when required. The launch of this new section provides information on Vauxhall’s history from the early 1900's to the present day - Vauxhall has been continuously manufacturing and selling motor vehicles in the UK since 1903. You'll be able to find spec sheets on the historic collection, photographs and also details of any upcoming events, including the annual Heritage Centre Open Day, Drive It Day, Classics on the Common and the Vauxhall Bedford Owners Association (VBOA) rally at Billing Aquadrome. *Image is not necessarily one of the museum.
The Vauxhall Heriatge Centre is usually open to the public just once per year -- but if there is something specific you want to do, get in touch with their Heritage and Special Events Press Officer.
