Moffat Car Rally and Show

  29th  -   30th June, 2019

The event has passed.

The Moffat Car Rally and Show is planned to take place at Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, Saturday 29th to Sunday 30th June, 2019.

You may reach the event organisers on 01387 710 318.

About the Show

The Moffat Classic Car rally is run by The Scottish Roots Enthusiasts Group and accommodates 800-1000 entries, some of which journey hundreds of miles to participate. This 2-day event has a drive through the Moffat Hills on the Saturday to St. Mary's Loch. Three hundred cars can participate, leaving the town centre in 15-minute intervals in groups of 60. There will be a stop for a picnic lunch at St. Mary’s Loch and the drive incorporates passing the Megget and Talla reservoirs. The show held in the small historic spa town of Moffat in the Annandale Valley is the Sunday where prizes are given for the best cars.

To enter your vehicle into the Rally, please contact the organiser on the phone number above or email Gordon Bisset at gordon@sre-scot.co.uk for an application form.

For those wishing weekend accommodation information why not give the Dumfries Tourist Information Centre a call on 01387 253 862, or enter the postcode above onto google maps and check out the hotels and bed and breakfasts in and around Moffat. In particular, The Hartfell House & The Limetree Restaurant has received 5-star reviews from groups who have attended the Moffat Rally in the past - worth checking out. If you do plan to stay over for the weekend, book in advance as the town gets reasonably busy over the Rally Weekend.
