About The Beamish
The Regional Museums Store is a joint initiative by Beamish and Tyne & Wear Museums. It is a huge warehouse which contains a wide range of unique artefacts that represent our region's rich social, industrial, maritime, transport and agricultural heritage. These collections are an important learning resource, and they will support new museum developments. Beamish is a world famous open air museum telling the story of the people of North East England. The story of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian life is told by our costumed staff and volunteers in a unique living and working museum. Most of the houses, shops and other buildings have been dismantled, brought to Beamish and rebuilt here. *Image is not necessarily one of the museum.
