About The Coventry Transport Museum
Motor cars, commercial vehicles, cycles, Motor Cycles, signs, engines, display material, accessories and other related material. The Museum collects, by gift, bequest, purchase or loan, material that portrays the outstanding contribution made by British manufacturers in the development of the world's road transport industries. Particular reference is made to the significant role played by the City of Coventry and the Midlands area. Coventry is the birthplace of the British cycle and motor industry. Enjoy a FREE day out in the Midlands, and discover the fascinating story behind the development of road transport from the earliest cycles to the fastest cars on earth. With thrills, nostalgia and inspiration, join the Museum on a surprising and emotional journey through 150 years of innovation and find out about the people who made it happen. Apart from objects on display at the Museum they also have a ‘running' collection of cycles, motorcycles and vehicles that is used for educational, outreach and promotional activities. These vehicles that are still in an operational condition can be seen at events, shows and promotional activities. *Image is not necessarily one of the museum.
Museum Open every day (including Bank Holidays), except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 10am - 5pm (recommended last admission is 4:30pm).
