About Peter

Peter is a photographer of Classic Cars, Classic Events and Classic Racing. His images capture the endurance and grace of our motoring history and heritage. Peter has published his work in his own five books, including “Motor Racing at Oulton Park in the 1960s” and “Motor Racing at Oulton Park in the 1970s”.

Peter has been photographing motor sport and motor cars for more years than he cares to remember, beginning with regular coverage of events at his then “home” circuit, Oulton Park, for “Autosport” and, later, also for “Motoring News” (now “Motorsport News”).

Peter is still very active, covering vintage, historic and classic car events throughout the UK. He is a regular contributor to “The Automobile” and “Octane” and his work has appeared in magazines such as “Motor Sport”, “Classic & Sports Cars” and many motor club publications. When not behind the camera he may be found at the wheel of his 1929 Lea-Francis Hyper vintage sports car or his 1960 Triumph TR3 classic.

Vintage Sports Car Club's Light Car & Edwardian Section Welsh Tour

Over a hundred pre-war cars from the Vintage Sports Car Club's Light Car & Edwardian Section will take part in their annual Welsh Tour on Saturday 29th March starting and finishing at the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells with a lunch stop at Brecon. There are several route options, the longest being 127 miles in all.

Vintage Sports Car Club's Herefordshire Trial

This weekend, 15th/16th March, the Vintage Sports Car Club's Herefordshire Trial takes place at various locations in the county. The Trial is based at How Capel Court (map ref 149/612306) with cars setting off between 11.00am and noon on Saturday and returning about the same time on Sunday.
